Art of Swimming workshops are a ideal for those who wish to learn the Shaw Method progression within a concentrated period.
A ratio of one teacher to six pupils ensures the highest quality experience for all participants. Unless stated workshops are led by Steven Shaw.
Level 1 workshops are for all swimming abilities, and focus on individual strokes or link to other sports such as running.
Master Class workshops are follow up courses appropriate for those who have already attended an Art of Swimming workshop, course or had a series of private lessons on the stroke concerned.
A full day workshop day includes two 1.5-hour swimming sessions, a talk and visual presentation on applying the Alexander Technique to swimming and dry-land exercises to promote better use in the water. All participants will have the opportunity of an individual video analysis at the end of the day. Refreshments are included in some of our workshops so checkout the individual web page.
A half day workshop consists of dry-land and pool sessions.
As part of our continuing development programme, you will receive a Feedback questionnaire which we would like you to return to us when you have completed your Art of Swimming experience.
